WILKINS, William (Bill)

The Mayor, Councillors and staff of Maroondah City Council express their condolences to family and friends on the passing of Bill Wilkins OAM, Freeman of the City.

Bill was made a Freeman of the City on 20 June 1994 for outstanding community service. The honour recognises the achievements and dedicated service to the community by a person over their lifetime, and is the highest honour a Council can bestow upon an individual. Council’s annual Bill Wilkins Volunteer Award is named in honour of Bill, in recognition of his 75 years of volunteering in Maroondah.

There is no doubt Bill had a positive impact on many lives and he will be remembered for his significant service to the Maroondah community.
