Mick was a legendary local author and historian of the Yarra Valley and the Wurundjeri people, the traditional custodians of Nillumbik land.
A founding member and recipient of many awards.
Mick was involved in local history, conservation and indigenous groups for the past 40 years.
A passion for local history and the Yarra Valley enabled him to publish 25 books.
Mick was a dedicated champion of Reconciliation, and to the history and the people of Nillumbik, Coranderrk, Woiwurrung Country.
Mick will leave a legacy for future generations.
Now flying high with Bunjil above his beloved Bend of Islands
Mick passes into the Dreaming when the wattle is in bloom.
