Greatly loved husband of Lola and father to Steve (dec), Vicki and Robyn. Grandfather to Holly, father in law to Clayton.
Born in Temora, rural NSW during the depression years in severe drought conditions, Ted joined the Australian Defence Force as an 18 year old serving in the front line combat in New Guinea. He maintained regular contact with his army mates and was on the committee of the Cavalry Association of NSW for 35 years.
A member of Rotary International for 48 years. Ted received several awards and life memberships for his volunteering and charitable works in Australia and the Pacific throughout his lifetime. Ted and Lola established Springfield Receptions Dural in 1974, which they managed until Ted’s retirement in 1989. Ted continued his community work with Rotary International long after his retirement.
An honest, loving and generous man, Ted is greatly missed by all.
