Died peacefully at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney on Saturday November 27, 2021.
Aged 95 years.
Beloved first son of John and Monica Barry of North Fitzroy, Melbourne. Loved brother of Sister Carmel DC, Gerald, and Fathers John CM, Xavier CM, and Romuald CM (all deceased) leaving behind Gerald’s widow Barbara and their four children.
Father Stan was a sterling member of the Congregation of the Mission (Vincentian Fathers and Brothers) Australian Province (now the Oceania Province), working in St Charles Seminary, Perth. He served for many years in St Stanislaus College, Bathurst, more briefly in Modbury Parish, Adelaide and later in Gold Coast, Queensland as hospital chaplain. He served in Malvern, Melbourne working among other apostolates in Cabrini Hospital as chaplain. His retirement years were spent in Sydney. Remembered with fondness by students from his Bathurst years who admired his dedication and his loyalty to the College and football teams and for his unswerving work for those in his pastoral care in the hospitals.
May he Rest in Peace.
