11 May 1932 – 24 March 2021 To Honour and Celebrate the Life of Brian Lars Jones, Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Saint John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Cnr Lake and Minnie Streets, Cairns City on Tuesday 30th March, 2021, commencing at 11.00am. Brian was husband to Avriell Jones and the son of the late Fred and Agnes Jones, also of Cairns. He was a loved older brother to Marcia and Alan and a great father to Ian, David and Alan and a grandfather. Brian is remembered as a lifetime resident of Cairns and part of a family dynasty that dated back in FNQ to the 1880’s. He contributed a great deal to life, professionally, personally and on the sports field, including for his state. A humble gentleman who loved to see others happy and cared for. He will be missed by many and remembered for his example to all.
