CALNAN Raymond (Ray) Lacey

“The Rules Man”

12/9/1934 – 10/1/2022

Devoted and much loved husband to Dawn for 58 years. Deeply loved and cherished Dad to Leigh and Melissa. Adored and dedicated Pop to Bronte, Daniel (Poppy Golf) and Justin. Proud, supportive and loving Father in Law to Andrew and Mark. Brother to Ken and Don (both dec) and Uncle to their children.

A Plumber by Trade, Ray went on to achieve success in many other roles throughout his working and retired life. For 20 years he escaped on weekends with the family, to ‘the farm’ at Portland, where he ran cattle and sheep and grew various crops. Ray was a well-respected Community member at Castle Pines, giving tirelessly and endlessly of his time and energy to all. An accomplished playing and Representative member of Castle Hill Country Club for over 60 years as well as a qualified Golf NSW Referee. An avid keyboard player for decades and lover of “all good music”. A talented but humble snooker player.

Ray will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed for his far reaching contributions, generosity and the enduring legacy he leaves, amongst the many circles with which he was involved.

A great man and a great mate!

A private family service is being held on Monday 17/1/2022. In lieu of flowers, those able are encouraged to donate blood or alternatively to make a donation to Kidney Health Australia.
