CARRACEDO, Fr Manuel SJ

On the 15^th October 2023, at Blacktown Hospital, Fr Manuel Carracedo, SJ died peacefully, aged 91 years.

Loved and deeply respected member of the Society of Jesus, which he joined in 1947.

Ordained Priest: Oña, Spain, 16^th July 1962

Arrived in Australia in 1979

Devoted pastor to the Spanish Community in NSW for more than 40 years.

A Requiem Mass for the Repose of the Soul of Fr. Manuel will be held at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Miller St, North Sydney on Thursday 26^th October 2023 at 10am.
Following Mass refreshments will be served at the Ron Dyer centre. (located behind the Church). This will be live streamed. Please visit https://www.gregoryandcarr.com.au to view the stream.

The Burial will take place at the Macquarie Park Cemetery in the Jesuit section – at 12.30pm.

A Vigil Service will be held on Wednesday, 25^th October at 7pm at St Mary’s Catholic Church.
