COLLEY, James Edward

With sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved father and grand-father, James Edward Colley at the Prince of Wales Randwick Hospital Sydney Australia in his 94th year on February 27th, 2023. He leaves to mourn his son, Brian Colley and wife Kelly Butler-Colley, grand-daughters Megan, Erin and Grace, his daughter Laura Whitelaw (nee Colley) and husband Neil Whitelaw, grand-son Andrew, his son Frederick Colley and wife Sashi Colley, grand-daughters Georgia and Eliza as well as (former wife) and friends, Terisita and Colin Webster. Born in Saskatchewan, Canada, he graduated from the University of Toronto and went on to enjoy a long career with Sun Life of Canada. An avid traveller, "Jim" eventually immigrated to Australia with his wife (Terisita) and young son (Frederick). He enjoyed nature, gardening, music and discussions about history and politics. His loved ones will remember his sense of humour and especially the sound of his booming, joyful, easy laughter. A celebration of life will be held at Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park on 14th of March 11am AEST. The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses and doctors at Prince of Wales Hospital for the care they gave him during his final hours.
