DONOVAN, Dr Jennifer "Jenny"
After a five-year battle with stage 4 kidney cancer, Dr Jennifer (Jenny) Donovan finally passed away on 7th July 2020. In good spirits and still completing academic work almost to the end, Jenny leaves behind a huge legacy of positive influence over the many teachers she has taught, as well as all the students they go on to teach. Throughout the long journey she has been blessed with immeasurable support from University colleagues and members of Women in Harmony Choir, for which she expressed deep gratitude. Jenny leaves behind her sister Linda Wines in Perth, but most of all, her beloved partner Adrian, who put his life on hold to care for her every step of the way so she could achieve her life's goals. A service for Jenny will be held on Monday, 27th July 2020. Due to covid restrictions and the wish not to offend any of Jenny's valued friends, attendance at the service will be by invitation only with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Her one request is that everyone should wear something purple, her favourite colour. "Life is a song – and I love singing it!"
