DUMMETT, Denise HelenBorn 20.06.1959 has died peacefully on 05.02.2017.Denise will be remembered as a delightful, articulate lady. As well as an incomparably devoted Wife and Mother. Denise attended Kilmany South Primary School and Sale High School in Victoria. At 20 years of age, Denise independently moved to Melbourne where she excelled at the Victorian Police Academy. Denise married Stephen Dummett in 1985, had their first Child Laura Jayne in 1989 and Stephanie Leigh in 1991. Denise was a proud policewoman for a decade before becoming a Mother. Shortly thereafter she began her career as a businesswoman at age 30. In her later years, she spent her time living out her love of travelling around the world with her best friend and Husband, Steve. For many years while still working, she volunteered her time to her community regularly, donated blood/plasma religiously, and donated all she could to worthy causes close to her heart. Denise's Family are comforted in part by the incredible messages of support coming from near and far. The balcony gardens at her home are of significant comfort to Denise's Family as Denise designed, curated and nurtured them herself. To honour Denise's giving nature, the Family offer MND research as a worthy cause in lieu of more beautiful, generous, flower arrangements beyond those they have already gratefully received.Denise's beloved immediate and extended Families, together with many of her treasured Friends, will celebrate her inspiring life this Friday, 10th February, on the Gold Coast where she and her immediate Family have lived for many years. To be held in the Somerville Chapel, 129 Nerang-Broadbeach Road, Nerang at 3 p.m. (07) 5596 223
