FOSTER Anthony STATE FUNERAL A State Funeral Service will be held to celebrate the life of the late Mr Anthony Foster, who passed away on Friday May 26, 2017. After their own family tragically suffered immense pain, Anthony and Chrissie fought tirelessly as advocates for victims of child sexual abuse. Although softly spoken, Mr Foster's eloquent words carried power and weight. Seeking justice for his family and increasingly for other victims also, he was a brave force and consistent source of support and strength for many. The State Funeral will be held at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday June 7, 2017 at Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, 31 Sturt Street, Melbourne. Mr Foster supported and worked closely with a significant number of people and organisations. Family, friends, colleagues and associated groups and organisations are invited to attend the State Funeral and information about attendance and registration can be found at vic.gov.au. There is unfortunately limited capacity for the broader community to attend inside the venue. However, for those who wish to pay their respects to Mr Foster, there will be an opportunity to farewell as the casket leaves the venue following the service. This will take place on Sturt Street between approximately 11.30 a.m. and 12 noon on Wednesday.
