He died at home surrounded by family. Beloved husband of Robyn and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Jim was universally loved and adored, exceptionally kind and selfless. He will forever be remembered for these things and his love will continue to resonate and nourish us all in this time of sorrow.
Jim’s professional life was forged and flourished through a fruitful partnership and the founding of J.F. Gale and Lenehan. Many colleagues and staff from these decades of dedication will remember his warmth and good humour in the halls of the Registrar General’s Office.
He leaves behind a large family. Wife, Robyn and children Johanne, Jennifer, Sherryn, Clare, Kieran and Martha. Sons-in-law Mark, James David and Colin. His cherished grandchildren Jess, Samantha, Jade, Cate, Claudia, Kel, Hannah, Max, Beth, Vivian, Louis, Scout and Eve and grandsons-in-law Jesse, Dima and Lee plus partners Skye, Brayden, Gemma, Mei, Cody and Bec and also great grandchildren Storm, Zyoti, Jasmine, Kaiden, Eli, Honey, Skye and Rose.
Rest In Peace Beautiful Man.
Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of James will be celebrated at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Belmont Street, Sutherland on Thursday 7th April at 10.30am.
