On Monday morning just before the light of dawn, Valda left quietly, on her own terms, in the comfort of her home, dying peacefully after a full and loving life. Our strong Matriarch who proudly wore the badge of Mother, Aunty, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, wise sage! Her lineage and legacy continues with her daughter Karen, son Peter and family; Shirley Hart, Kellie and Sally Lewry, Sister Beryl, The Seetos, McLeans, McKeown’s and extended family.
Valda was dearly loved and respected, the world a better place having had her presence within it. One who maintained rich and enduring friendships, loved within her community, she will be missed by many.
We will be honouring and celebrating her life and wish all could be in attendance, but due to COVID restrictions, a private ceremony will take place on Thursday 18th of June at 11am. The service will be live streamed contact Life Rites Funerals 0431 123 129 for details.
