Late of Chinchilla, Formely of “Bingleburra” Chinchilla, and “Salvo” Eidsvold. Born in Mt. Perry on 7th September 1915. Passed away peacefully on Thursday 31st October 2019. Aged 104 years 5th Lighthorse Regiment (Mundubbera Troop) 2/9th Bat. 18 Brigade FTD Div Lance Sergeant – QX37885 Beloved husband of Myrtle. Dearly loved father of Ann. Cherished brother of Valentine (Dec’d), Joyce McGregor, Irene Keding (Dec’d) and Kevin (Dec’d). Cherished Uncle, Great Uncle and Great Great Uncle. A great friend to all who knew him. The relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Athol’s funeral service to be held at St Cecilia’s Anglican Church, Chinchilla on Monday 11th November at 1.00pm. A Lighthorse Guard of Honour will lead the cortege to the Chinchilla Cemetery followed by a graveside RSL Veteran Funeral Service.
