HUNT, Darren ‘DJ' John

On Wednesday 14^th in Cairns Darren courageously drew his last breath, surrounded by loving family and dear friends. 

So many lives touched and enriched by this truly valiant man. So many words to describe this man of so few. Soulmate to Pamela, hero to Kayla and Deacon, firstborn to June, ally to Syd, big brother to Sharron. Son, grandson, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, and friend.  Stooge, boofhead, football lover, dad joke teller, UFC wrestler, heckler, keyboard warrior, presser of hams, and cat lover. Champion, advocate, confidant, inspiration, warrior, comforter, protector, mentor, legend, mate.

Friends and family are invited to farewell Darren at 2:00pm Tuesday 20^th November, at Cairns Funeral Directors, 36 Pease St, Manunda and to raise a glass for him after at The Cock and Bull, 6 Grove St, Cairns.

In honour of Darren’s inimitable style the family have requested a ‘reefie sandals’ dress code.

Rather than flowers, Darren would urge you to support COUCH and Headspace, as they have so positively supported him and his family.
