Late of Loganlea, formerly of Tweed Heads, passed away peacefully on the 1st January 2023.

Beloved mother of Lorraine, Jimmy, & Carmel. Grandmother of Cheryl, Ricky, Robert, Nicole, Jay, Joel, Shaun, Harley, & Nathan. Big Nan to many more. Eldest daughter of Robert and Ruby. Sister to Ian, Selwyn, Malley, Amelia, Lynette, Edith, Boydie, & Rose. Faithful wife to Claude. An Elder of her People.

Why worry when the river is so close

To honour the long life and many sacrifies of Joan, family and friends are respectfully invited to attend Goupong Park, Collingwood Park at 7am on the 17th January 2023 for a Memorial Breakfast. Which will be followed by Joan's Last Journey at 7:50am. The procession will lead to her service at St. Thomas's Anglican Church, 7 Albert Street, Beaudesert. Service commencing at 9:30am (QLD) , followed by internment at the Tweed Heads General Cemetery, Tweed Heads South at 12pm (QLD)/1pm (NSW).

Those unable to travel to Ipswich or Beaudesert are invited to attend Minjungbal Museum, 17 Kirkwood Road Tweed Heads South, at 10am (NSW) for a livestream of the service and refreshments.
