Aged 88 Years

Sister Mairead Murray. A beloved member of the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea and loved sister of Sr Bridget Murray and Sr Annastacia Murray passed away peacefully at Mercy Place Cairns (Bethlehem) on 30th October 2022. Rest in Peace dear Mairead.

The Bishop Emeritus, Diocesan Administrator, Priests and Religious of the Cairns Diocese, Relatives and Friends of the Sisters of Mercy and the Murray Family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral of Sister Mairead Murray on Wednesday 9th November 2022. A Requiem Mass will commence at 1.00pm at Holy Spirit Chapel Mercy Place, 257 Gatton Street, Westcourt. The interment will be at Martyn Street Cemetery, Cnr Martyn Street & Anderson Streets.
