Today we announce the passing of Len (Lennard John) Watson the Son of Samuel and Linda Watson, a dearly loved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, Great-great-Grandfather, Brother, Brother-in-law, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin and Friend of many. A proud Wiri Man of the Birri Gubba Nation and a descendant of the Gungalu Nation, he was a leader, pastor, mentor, and an advocate in many facets throughout his life within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. A Service for Len will be held on Saturday, 1st August, 2020 at 11.30am at Cairns Funeral Directors, 36 Pease Street, Manunda, Cairns which will be followed by a committal at Forestview Lawn Cemetery, 78-85 Foster Road, Mount Sheridan at 1.30pm.
