Murray Allen John (Patrick) McLennan.
In Loving Memory of My Murray.
A Tribute to Ormond Franics Grace
My sister Helen, my son Tristan and I say goodbye to my beloved partner Ormond who had become a special part of our family and daily life.
We are deeply saddened by his sudden passing.
Together, Orm and I shared laughter, adventures and sublime happiness for four wonderful years.
He was my guide, my inspiration, my joy and my first ever Valentine.
Our hearts and bodies touched, our minds grew and our losses were healed.
My friends and family fully embraced the kind, caring, learned gentleman, with whom I had decided to share my life. We enjoyed getting to know Orm's immediate family of which he was so justly proud.
Our mutual love of nature, animals and birds, of the innocent, of people, of reading and history and of the garden, drew us together.
I taught Orm about art and he taught me about flying, sailing and New Guinea.
We travelled a lot, walking and exploring The Grampians, The Flinders Ranges, Gippsland and sailing The Kimberly.
In 2023, we took delight in searching for our roots in Ireland with Orm driving Paddy, the Irish draught horse that pulled our Gypsy caravan. We were in our element, steering a narrow boat through the locks of the Welsh canals and bussing it through France visiting villages, castles and vineyards. Ormond was fascinated by the cogwheel trains ascending the Swiss mountains, cruising The Grand Canal and around the Venice lagoon.
These were magical memories we shared.
Our final trip together was to Cumberland River where we parked our motorhome 'UZY' next to the bubbling creek, the landscape supporting teal ducks, grey kangaroos, wombats and occasionally screeching black cockatoos.
We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the Aussie bush, cooling off in the salty sea water, having a wine and a meal, whilst chatting with lovely friends, gazing at the starry sky and listening to the waves crashing onto the sand.
All too quick, too final.
Au Revoir my beautiful Orm, until we meet again in a garden full of fruits, flowers and little birds.
I love you
Deidre
